About
Living Art is the synergistic blend of Leah's combined experience in healthcare and hospitality.
Inspired by the power of Horticulture Therapy, fueled by working in Healthcare and as an Event Specialist for Marriott International and The Ritz Carlton, Leah Lyons curates plant arts to enrich healing atmospheres.
As a child in Los Angeles, Leah experienced abuse of every type at the hands of someone who should have protected her. It was only later in life when she began to share the secrets of sadness and neglect. Little Leah learned about perseverance and patience when she grew her own corn garden.
After school one day she ate popcorn, pondering the kernels that didn't pop; she did not want to waste them. Believing in magic, and always praying for miracles,
she planted the popcorn kernel's hoping to grow
popcorn plants.
Instead, strong, tall corn stalks sprouted. The magical corn garden brought hours of safe and shady quiet time.
Leah is passionate in exploring the ceremonial significance of flowers across cultures. With a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Leadership and pursuing a Masters in Theology from Northwestern Christian University, she finds inspiration in the story of the Magi who brought gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh to baby Jesus. She is dedicated to understanding and sharing the use of florals, plants, and botanicals. From essential oils to the artful blending of sands, Leah believes that nature's gifts continue to play a vital role in contemporary floristry.
Horticulture Therapy played a huge role in Leah's personal health. Motivated by the energetic shifts that plant and flower frequencies create, and countless hours in her garden: Living Art, CA was a natural next move.
At Living Art led by Leah Lyons, Certified Florist, we find inspiration in the connection with nature and living our best lives. We believe in setting Intentions for each day and each plant arrangement.
